In the name of God amen the eight Day of April
In the twenty fifth year of his majesties Reign George
the Second King of Great Britian ae Annoqued 1752
I Hezekiah Matteson of West Green wich in the
County of Kent in the Colony of Rhode Island & yeoman
Being Sick and and ** weak of Body But of Sound dis
posing mind and memory Thanks be Given to God their
for and Calling to mind the mortality of my Body and
Knowing that it is Appointed for all men once to dye
Do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament
that is to Say Princably and first of all I Give and
Recommend my spirit to God that Gave it and my
Body I Recommend to the earth to be Buried in a
Decent Christian manner att the descretion of my
Executor here after named and touching Such
Worly Estate where with it hath Pleased God to
Bless me in this Life I Give promise amd dispose of
The Same in the following manner and form vis
Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Abraham
Matteson all my tract of land that Lyes ad
joyning to his Land where on he now dwells to
him his Heirs and Assigns for ever and Like wise
I Give to my * Son Abraham Matteson^the sum of^ ten Pound
in money of the old tenoir I thinking that to be a
Soficant Portion with what he hath already Recd
To be delivered to him by my Executor In one

Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Amos Matteson
Ten Pounds In money of the old Tenor to be Paid to
him by my Executor In one years time after my

ings in money of the old tenor to be Paid to him

Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Samuel Matteson
Twenty five acres of Crop the north Land of my home
Sted farme and one acre of Land at the East End
of the old orchard Adjoyning to the Highway their
Being some small appel Trees their on now Standing
To him his Heirs and assigns for ever~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Item I Give unto my daughter Loja Matteson fifty
Pound in money of the old tenor to be Paid to
Her By my Executor in one year after my decease.

and Ann Matteson fifty pounds a peace to be
Paid to them By my Executor as they arive to the
age of Eighteen years or married which Shall first

Item I Give unto my Beloved wif Margret Matteson
The Best Room in my house and one Third Part

Item and Lastly I give unto my Said Son Samuel
Matteson all the Remaining Part of my moveable
Estate and two Thirds of my Real Estate and
after my Said wifs Decease I give to my * Son
Samuel Matteson all of my Land not yet disposed of

and I do constitute ordain and appoint my well
Beloved Son Samuel Matteson my hole and sole
Executor of this my Last will and testament to

and I do Utterly disalow disannul Revoke and by
these Presents make Void all and Every other former
will or wills Executors or Executor here to fore made
or named or by me caused to be named or made Ratifying
and declaring this and no other to Be my Last will

unto set my hand and affixed my Seal the Day

Where as Samuel Matteson Executor to the Last will and
Testament of his deceased father Appeared before the town council
Of West Greenwich the 25th day of April 1752 and Presents *
Will in order for a probate and the Witnesses to * will
Appeared at the same time and declared on oath that
They saw the * Hezekiah Matteson deceased Sign Seal
Publish Pronounce and Declear the Same to be his Last
Will and testament and that he was in his perfect mind and
memory according to their knowledge and that they
signed as witnesses att the same time and their upon * will is
alowed a Probate and Proved according to Law Signed by order
of Council Griffen Sweet Council Clerk.
