Know all men by these presents that I Jeremiah Matteson
of west Greenwich in the County of Kent and State of
RhodeIsland for and in Consideration of one hundred and ten
pound twelve Shillings and Eight pence to me in hand paid
by George Matteson of Volluntown in the County of Windham
and State of Connecticutto my full Satisfaction Do give grant

Bargain Sell Convey and Confirm unto him the sd George a certain
tract or percel of Land Lying and Being in Volluntown afore sd Contain=
=ing by Estimation about twenty five acres be the Same more or
Less and is Bounded as follows (viz) Begining at a Stake and Stones
on pine hill Road So Called by the Corner of Thomas Mattesons Land
thence westerly by sd Mattesons Land about fifty nine rods to a Stake
and Stones thence Southerly forty Eight Rods to a heap of Stones
Near the Spring then Easterly ten Rods to a heap of Stones on a
Rock thence Southerly about twenty three Rods to an apple tree
by Land of the sd George Matteson thence Easterly by sd Mattesons
Land about forty Eight Rods to the Road thence Northerly by the
Road about Seventy Rods to the first mentioned Bounds to him
the sd George Matteson and to his heirs and assigns forever as
an Estate in fee simple to have and to hold forever and I
Do Covenant to and with the sd George that untill the
Executing this Instrument I am Lawfully Seized of the premises
and have good Right to Dispose of them in manner and form
afore sd and that I will warrant and defend them with the
priviledges and appurtenances thereto Belonging against the Law=
=full Claims and Demands of any person whatsoever in witness
whereof I have Set my hand and Seal this 13th Day of June
1788 and in the twelfth year of Amarican Independence Signed Sealed
and Delivered in presense of us
